Model Overview & Print Notes

Summary 3D-Printable model kit of the 'Toy' animatronic variants from Five Nights at Freddy's. Includes Toy Freddy, Toy Bonnie, and Toy Chica. Each of them has sixteen points of articulation, and one accessory. Chica comes with an alternate head, but they are not swappable, so choose which one you want to be on the figure. Post-Printing Painting It is recommended to paint the pieces before putting them together, instead of after. Here is the total list of colors: Black (all three) Silver (all three) White (all three) Red (Freddy, Bonnie) Purple (Chica, Bonnie) Pink (Chica) Brown (Freddy) Tan (Freddy, Chica) Green (Bonnie) Blue (Freddy, Chica) Light Blue (Bonnie) Yellow (Chica) Orange (Chica) How I Designed This Making the Models I made these by modifying my pre-existing FNaF2 models I already had previously made, for use in animations. As I optimized them for printing, I built in the articulation as I went, piece by piece throughout the body. Compared to the official designs, dangerously thin parts have been thickened, and areas around the joints had to be contoured to improve their range of motion. There are also some very minor aesthetic changes inherited from my own animation models, mostly in the form of subtly re-shaping body parts. The original geometry of the Toy Animatronics can look surprisingly janky from certain angles, so my goal was to make invisible changes that mitigate anything too jarrring, without looking noticeably different. Assembly Step One: Joints Connect the various two-part spherical joints by snapping the pin on one half into the hole in the other. There are two Shoulder Joints, two Elbow Joints, two Hip Joints, two Knee Joints, and two Ankle Joints. Step Two: Waist and Hips For Freddy and Bonnie: Glue the Inner Waist halves around the upper pegs of the Hip Joints. Do not glue the pegs themselves, as this is where they will rotate. *Chica is slightly different at this part than the other two- see below. Step Three: Legs For Freddy and Bonnie: Glue the lower pegs of the Hip Joints into the top holes of the Upper Legs, and glue the upper pegs of the Knee Joints into the bottom holes. Repeat down the length of the legs, with the Lower Legs, Ankle Joints, and Feet. *Chica is slightly different at this part than the other two- see below. Step Four: Arms Glue the Inner Lower Arm halves around the conical peg of the Hands. Do not glue the peg itself, as this is meant to freely rotate. Glue the lower pegs of the Elbow Joints into the Inner Lower Arm. Repeat up the length of the arm until the Shoulder Joints. Take care not to glue the upper pegs of the Elbows in place, as this is another swivel point like the hands. Step Five: Neck Insert the rounded end of the Neck Peg into the base of the head, but do not glue. Then hoop the Neck Ring around the peg, push it up flush into the head, then glue it to the head to anchor the Neck Peg in place. Take care not to attach the Neck Ring to the Neck Peg directly. Step Six: Torso Glue the Torso halves around the Waist Joint, Shoulder Joints, and Neck Peg. The Neck Peg can be glued in place, since its articulation happens at the other end. The shoulders and waist, make sure to leave free to rotate. Step Seven: Finishing Touches Glue on various external pieces. All three of them have Outer Arm covers, and a lower Jaw. Freddy has ears and a hat, Bonnie has ears and a tail, and Chica has the feathers on top of her head. *Chica’s assembly differences The smaller torso means Chica’s hip articulation had to be re-arranged: the joints that are held in the Inner Waist on Freddy and Bonnie, are instead held in the Upper Legs on Chica. For Chica, the upper pegs of the Hip Joints can and should be glued solidly into place. Their lower pegs then get encased in unique ‘Inner Upper Legs’ pieces, which clamp around the joint in halves. The pegs should not be glued, because this part swivels. The whole assembly of the Inner Upper Legs can then be glued down into the normal Upper Legs pieces, and the build process goes back to being the same as Freddy and Bonnie after that.
