Privacy Policy

MakerSpell helps people discover, prepare, manage, back up, and print 3D models. This policy explains the information processed when you use the MakerSpell mobile application and related services.
Information we process
- Account information: email address, display name, profile image, account identifier, and authentication state.
- Purchases: subscription product, entitlement, purchase status, and store transaction references needed to provide paid features.
- Files and cloud storage: model files, images, print files, and metadata you choose to open, download, upload, or back up. Google Drive access is used only for features you initiate or enable.
- Diagnostics and interaction metrics: app version, operating system, feature and error classification, printer model or firmware, and a random installation identifier when diagnostics sharing is enabled. When you choose to open a model on its source platform, MakerSpell separately records the source platform, button location, app version, operating system, and a one-way model reference hash. Source referral events contain no account or installation identifier, destination URL, or raw model identifier. Raw credentials, downloaded filenames, and model URLs are intentionally excluded from diagnostic reports.
- Support information: the name, email address, message, and optional diagnostics you submit to support.
- Advertising data: Google Mobile Ads may process advertising identifiers and consent choices for free-plan users, subject to the privacy choices presented in the app.
Why we use information
We use information to provide and secure accounts, downloads, backups, printing, subscriptions, support, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and user-requested marketplace integrations. We do not sell personal information.
Third-party services
MakerSpell can interact with Google Sign-In, Google Drive, Google Mobile Ads, Supabase, app stores, printer services, and third-party 3D model platforms. Those services process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Storage, retention, and security
Account and subscription information is retained while your account is active. Resolved or closed support requests are retained for up to 90 days, including any attachments, and are then deleted. Anonymous source referral events are retained for up to 24 months and may then be deleted or kept only as aggregate totals. Residual database copies may remain in encrypted rolling backups for up to 30 days. Limited runtime security logs may be retained for up to 30 days and are then deleted or aggregated. User-controlled Drive files remain in the user's Drive until the user removes them. Local platform login data is stored using device security where supported. No mobile application or online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can control diagnostics, Drive backup, and advertising privacy choices in Settings. You can delete selected data while keeping your account, or delete your account in the app or through the account deletion page. Some purchase records may be retained where legally required.
Children
MakerSpell is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
