Model Overview & Print Notes

Summary Shallow 30 mm-deep purge chute and waste bin for the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2. Prints in 48 minutes with zero supports and installs with the printer's existing screws — no extra hardware. The slope runs all the way to the exit, so purges don't stall halfway down the way they do on other chutes. Why this one Only 30 mm deep — fits on a shelf without pushing the printer forward No supports, no raft, no brim — 48 minute print for the chute (3 hours if the chute and bin are printed together) Uses the existing screws — access holes sized for the allen key in the CC2 toolkit Full-length slope — nothing stalls out on a flat section Fill-level slot in the bin — a glance tells you how full it is, like a reverse fuel gauge Pairs with: CANVAS Spool Relocation Mounts If you're running the CANVAS multi-color system, the stock mounts push spools 3 and 4 out past the back of the printer and blow up the footprint. I built these brackets for the same reason I built this chute — so the CC2 would actually fit on my shelf. They pull spool 4 inward by 65 mm and spool 3 by 90 mm, reusing the hardware from the mounts you're replacing. Run both and you get a CC2 that stays shallow front and back. ➡ Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 — CANVAS Spool Relocation Mounts Which files do I need? Print one chute and one bin. The same bin works with either chute — pick the width you want. Width is how far they stick out behind the printer. 30 mm wide chute (original) — RndmCC2ChuteV5 + RndmCC2BinV5 40 mm wide chute (by request) — RndmChuteV7_40Wide + RndmCC2BinV5 Updated April 2, 2026 — current 3MF and STL files are attached below. Print settings 3 walls at 0.5 mm wall thickness — makes the 2 mm chute walls solid No supports, no raft, no brim Cubic infill, or any 3D-oriented pattern, since this prints at an angle Printed it? Drop a comment and let me know what bin you paired it with — I'm collecting sizes that fit. A like helps other CC2 owners find this too.
