Model Overview & Print Notes
Summary Super intuitive spectacle-cases This model doesn't need springs, active hinges, or magnets to work. Neither is it printed with flexible materials - just regular brittle PLA. Attention: Very easy to print To achieve this behavior, I applied an common engineering technique from wood-design. The "Living-Hinge" Cut Pattern. And it worked out like a charm. This, of course, is reliant on my very own hinge cut layout-dimensions.</p><p>So I lowered the height of the bending-sections off the wall to be 90% of the original extend.</p></div>
