Top Cover Exhaust Air Adapter Set – Snapmaker U1 Print quieter and direct unwanted odors where you want them! With this custom-designed exhaust adapter, you can connect an 80 mm exhaust hose to the original Snapmaker U1 Top Cover. The adapter allows you to direct exhaust air to an air purifier or outside through a window. It can also help reduce the noise generated by the exhaust fan. During my tests, the fan noise while printing PLA and TPU was approximately 54 dB. With the adapter and an attached exhaust hose, I was able to achieve a reduction of around 5 dB. Installation Important: The original grille on the Snapmaker U1 Top Cover must be removed before installation. The adapter is then secured to the original mounting position using its four hooks. The 90-degree elbow can subsequently be installed in one of four possible orientations. An installation GIF is included with the files. If the exhaust hose does not fit tightly, it can be secured with a cable tie. Recommended Print Settings Base plate, exhaust adapter and T-piece: Material: PETG Layer height: 0.2 mm Infill: At least 8% Gyroid Walls: At least 2 Supports: Required Sealing lips: Material: TPU95A The sealing lips are included separately on the print plates. Print settings may need minor adjustments depending on your printer and filament. Designed for the original Snapmaker U1 Top Cover. An 80 mm exhaust hose is required. The original Top Cover grille must be removed before installation. Noise reduction and exhaust performance may vary depending on hose length, filter and installation setup.
