Model Overview & Print Notes
Carabiner Ring Attachment for Nalgene Water Bottles – PLA/PETG/Nylon Version A practical 3D-printed carabiner ring designed to secure a Nalgene water bottle to backpacks, gear loops, or climbing packs. Material Performance: This model works well with rigid filaments including PLA, PETG, ABS, and Nylon. PLA: Good for general use, but prone to cracking or breaking under sustained heavy tension or impact. PETG: Better durability and impact resistance than PLA, though it still has limits depending on load. Nylon: Recommended for demanding conditions where high stress is expected. Recommendation: Choose your material based on intended use. Casual carry? PLA works fine. Regular climbing or demanding loads? Go PETG or Nylon. Want maximum durability? I've designed a separate TPU 95A version with optimized tolerances. TPU's inherent flexibility makes it extremely resistant to stress and impact—ideal for outdoor activities or heavy-use scenarios.
