Digital Caliper (Carbon Fiber ) Box Container Holder - 100mm 4in - Hinged Print in Place

This box was made specifically for low cost plastic (carbon fiber) digital calipers with 100mm (4in) range). These calipers measure only to 0.1mm (0.01in), but are still useful for many types of measurements. One drawback they have is that the battery runs down quickly if left in the caliper when not in use.  I usually remove the battery when not using the caliper, but this leads to the batteries getting separated from the caliper in the tool box, so I made this caliper box both to protect the caliper and to keep the batteries handy (it will hold up to seven batteries, but I usually only put two in it). Print Instructions I printed in PETG (I used transparent green PETG, just because I had some on hand). Use the 3mf file provided; otherwise : 0.2mm layer height perimeters = 2 5% rectilinear infill I printed on a textured build plate.  After removing from the build plate, flex the hinges only a little bit at first, and then gradually increase the hinge angle until the hinge is moving freely. My print had a small amount of warping which cause the ends of the box to separate a bit. I corrected this by opening the box flat and warming it slightly with a heat gun, while giving it a very small “counter-bend” to flatten out the halves.
