Model Overview & Print Notes
This is v4 of my print-in-place DnD dice storage box. The design stores a standard set of seven dice and I've user tested the pictured green model for 2+ years filled with heavy metal dice, so even in PLA it is a robust and proven design. Features a print-in-place living hinge and threaded nut for closure. Designed in Solidworks, tested in PLA on a Prusa Mk3 at 0.2 and 0.3 mm layers. Print Instructions No supports needed The nut is already scaled up by 5%. I recommend trying to print the model as-is, but you may need to play with scaling to get a smooth mate with the threaded boss on the box. DnD dice vary in size-- you may need to scale the box size up or down to securely hold your dice without rattling (if so, don't forget about scaling the nut equally!). Extreme scaling down or up could result in the print binding or being overly loose. If anyone's dice are super small or large, let me know and I can upload a remix with different pocket sizes.
