Because towels deserve better than ending up on the floor. Command Strip Marble Towel Hook (Print-in-Place) This is my remix of the excellent print-in-place marble towel hook design originally published on Printables. The original model appeared to be designed around foam tape mounting, so I modified the rear surface into a smooth flat mounting face better suited for Command Strips or other adhesive mounting methods. The hook uses a captive printed-in-place ball that rolls inward when a towel is inserted, pinching the fabric and holding it securely without hooks or sharp edges. Simply push the towel into the slot and pull downward slightly to lock it in place. The model prints as a single assembled piece with no extra hardware required. I think I printed without supports; they may be needed under the ball area. The rest of the model is self-supporting. Suggested Settings Layer height: 0.2 mm Walls/perimeters: 3–4 Infill: 15–25% Supports: Ball area only Support interface recommended for cleaner ball release Brim optional depending on bed adhesion Material Notes PLA works well indoors PETG is recommended for bathroom or humid environments Avoid excessive elephant’s foot to ensure the ball releases cleanly Mounting Designed specifically for: Command Strips Double-sided adhesive tape Other no-drill mounting solutions Make sure the wall surface is clean and dry before mounting. This remix focuses specifically on improving adhesive mounting compatibility while preserving the original print-in-place mechanism and functionality.
