Model Overview & Print Notes

This is a customizable desk organizer with drawers, tool slots and a side pocket. It is originally designed to store Circular Sock Machine tools as used by the CSM v2 by JeepingJohnny and, because it's an OpenSCAD model, it can be adapted to other use cases. I designed this in June '26 and struggeled a bit if I wanted to enter it into the July 26 Modular Drawer System contest ... yes, it's customizable and has drawers, but it's really mostly designed for the knitting tools use case. However, if you've always wanted to get into OpenSCAD, this can be an example project to play around with. Features - pre-built version Ribber storage 2 slots for the original ribber (9mm wide, 5cm deep) 2 slots for the side-mounted ribber remix (9mm wide, 5cm deep) Needle and accessory drawers 2 needle drawers with rounded sides for easy needle removal 2 accessory drawers for weight buckle, weight clips, allen keys, extra cylinder springs... Machine tool slots 4 tool slots with 16mm diameter (latch hook tool, loom tool, scissors...) 4 tool slots with 10mm diameter (crochet needles, small heel forks, pencils...) 2 side pockets (needle lift tool, ruler... or you add a bit of foam and stick some darning needles in) ... and one catch-all tray on top. Printing & Assembly  No supports needed, all parts are in printing orientation. The main box is printed on the back side and the tool slots are teardrop-shaped to accommodate this. You don't need any extra parts to build this. The drawers and knobs do have screw holes that you can use, but I ended up using them only to align both parts with a nail while I glued them on. Modifications This is an OpenSCAD model, so you can play around with it and change the dimensions of the drawers, the tool slots, the side pocket and the tray if you like. It uses the BOSL2 library, so you'll need to install this to work with the model.
