Model Overview & Print Notes
This model is built as a single-piece print, combining flexible TPU strings with rigid chime elements for a clean, assembly-free experience (or minimal assembly, depending on your setup choice). The result is a durable, elegant wind chime that actually moves and sounds great straight off the printer. This model comes in two variants: A compact single-row design for quick prints and assembly-free experience. A dual-row version for richer tones, featuring a snap-fit system using 3 printed pegs. The flexible strings are designed for TPU or PEBA, giving the chimes natural movement and resilience against wind and handling. The chimes and top mount should be printed in a rigid material like PLA, PETG, ABS, or ASA. Hanging is simple: Use a strand of TPU filament for a fully printed look, or any string up to 3 mm in diameter. Do you like my models? This way you will be able to change the string section to TPU or PEBA. Don't forget to enable interlocking in " Other > Advanced > Use Beam Interlocking" before printing. If you're using my profile, that option is already enabled. The hard sections are supposed to be printed with 2 walls and 15% infill. The TPU/PEBA sections should be printed with 1 wall and 0% infill. Remember to change your support interface and base to use your hard material, and change the "Top Z Distance" to 0 mm and the "Interface pattern" to Rectilinear. If you're printing the dual row version, also print 3 pegs to join the parts. Using pre-sliced 3MF I've made two print profiles, one for the Snapmaker U1, and another for the Bambu Lab X2D/H2D. Simply choose which one you'd like, select your filaments and hit print.
