Model Overview & Print Notes

Originally I made this set of fun animals in vehicles as mechanical toys for kids. Then came the Crash Derby game, and I just thought how fun it would be to let the joyful animals join the race. Get the board game here: Crash Derby This set contains scaled and optimized models for four different vehicles. Each with their own personality. You may decide to print one of each for the game, or how about a pure tuk tuk race, where each vehicle has different colors? The game pieces are 75% scale of the original models. Everything is easy to print. No supports needed. I strongly recommend to use a brim for all the vehicles, as they are very small at this scale.  Use the best resolution your printer is capable of, as these are tiny but beautiful.  Let me introduce you to the racers: The gentle giraffe My personal favorite. He seems slow and unengaged, but when he wakes up, he often wins the race. Assembly guide: The giraffe should be screwed from below through the roof of the car. And then screwed one more time to fit. The car is click-fitted to the base. It is optional to add glue. The crocked crock   Here is a very tough guy. You should not make too much fun of him. The tuk tuk he drives is heavily tuned - And the weapons he choose is very inventive Assembly guide: You start by clicking the tuk tuk to the base. The crock is the only model that must be glued in, as everything is so small and fiddley at this scale.  The too happy hippo Always having fun. It does not matter to her if she wins or loose. She is here for the fun of it all. And when the race is over, she is the one who starts next race in a hurry. Assembly guide: Pretty easy. Add the hippo from below the car and snap fit the car to the base. Glue is optional. The elusive elephant When the race is over she always think she was the winner. Even if she lost the race. She is no joke, and her tractor is crazy fast. Faster than most normal race cars. Assembly guide: Add the elephant to the tractor from below. Then click-fit the tractor to the base. You may want to glue in the elephant, as it may have a small habit of falling out. Extra There is an optional player base plate - Use this of you want to add a different player color, than the one you used for the vehicle. The original, playful models All of the vehicles were original made to animate beautifully, when driven around. These are some of my favorite toy designs.
