Model Overview & Print Notes
I am in the process of building a mapping drone using this F450 frame kit from AliExpress: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804619720467.html And have incorporated the Skydroid H12 Radio/Video system: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804297856288.html Battery mounts are sized for Hoovo 3S 5200 MAh Batteries, 152*44.5*26mm: https://amzn.to/40eYI8D I had an old Gopro Hero 3+ Silver and a generic HDCam from amazon laying around so I stripped those down, hacked in a transistor to control the photo button from the Pixhawk, and made some new mounts for them. Parts were printed in a combination of PLA and PETG (whichever happens to be loaded in the printer when I need the part) and all 4mm holes are meant to have 3mm heat press inserts used. I can send the drone on a mapping mission, and it will take two photos at once (two cameras) for each trigger. This is a work in progress and will be updated regularly.
