Model Overview & Print Notes
I designed this fishing table to challenge and showcase my new H2D printer’s capabilities. I also needed a folding fishing table but never had a printer large enough to print a table with a usable surface area. The digital camo tabletop test print was a dual extruder, multi-colour print that uses the entire build plate, with no space to spare—not even for a priming tower! The model is split across three build plates and will need to be assembled. I added twelve Ø6mm x 3mm magnet holes per leg to lock the legs in place once opened. In the end, I only used eight magnets per leg as I felt this was strong enough to hold the legs in place. I’ve left the additional magnet holes in place for those of you who want a stronger snap-lock feel. I would advise gluing all the magnets in place before fitting the legs to the table top, as once the feet are in place, there is not a lot of room between the table top and legs to fit the magnets. You also need four Ø5mm x 50mm pins to secure the legs in place. The straps that hold the feet in place when folded away require eight Ø6mm x 3mm magnets each. In total, you will require a minimum of 32 Ø6mm x 3mm for the project. As always, I’d love to see pictures of your prints.
