It is a sculpture of Michelangelo in San Pietro in Rome (Italian: Basilica di San Pietro in Vincoli) or in the cathedral of St. Peter's Chapel. This statue was originally intended as one of the elements of a magnificent tombstone made of 47 statues to be made in the cathedral of his family (Della Rovere family) for Pope Julio II, but soon became the center of the gravestone.
