You've been waiting so long. Finally finished the A-10 'warthog' Thunderbolt II. This plane has a slender body and wide and thick wings that are not symmetrical in many ways. So it was very difficult to put a characteristic structure. After much deliberation, I decided to make it a little bigger. By making it bigger, I have more space, so I made structures that I had never been able to express before. Canopy opening/closing, engine cover opening/closing, flap movement, etc. In particular, it is speculated that this is the first time in 3D to reproduce the structure of the flap that opens up and down at the same time. It is recommended to use a brim for the wings. Otherwise, it may fall over during printing. Created custom supports for several parts. They must be carefully removed with a knife. The side from which the support has been removed must be trimmed evenly to ensure good bonding. Unlike the real thing, this plane is heavy at the back, so when it's finished, the front is lifted. In order to prevent this, I made a small support bar that is not actually there. In an airplane, the left and right sides are uniquely used, and the port on the port and the starboard on the starboard are distinguished. So, I wrote down P and S for parts that are likely to be confused on the left and right (eg engine). The armament set and display stand for this plane can be downloaded from the link below.
