Model Overview & Print Notes

The refillable bottle that is under the sink for built-in soap dispenser is a bit small and tricky to get to, so I wanted to expand its capacity and make it easier to refill. I found some 8 mm inside diameter (10 mm outside diameter) surgical hose fit over the pump's pickup tube perfectly. Just dropping that hose into a soap bottle that sets on the floor of the cupboard works fine. However, I wanted something that gave more control of the hose's position in the bottle. I made this cap for a 28 mm O.D. bottle thread (about 27.4 mm in actual measurement) with a tube that will allow the surgical hose to be slid through it. The cap is designed to freely spin around the tube, making installation and removal easier. I originally tried a design that used the printed tube to draw up the soap, but the porosity of printed tube made it lose prime rather quickly. The notches I put in tube were meant for a zip tie to pinch the hose, and stop it from sliding around. But, due a design mistake, I didn't make them deep enough, so the zip tie doesn't pinch enough. Altering the notches is difficult. However, the hose stays in place well enough without anything pinching it. I will include a step file to make it easier for someone that feels it necessary to remove or alter them, or adjust tube length for other bottles. Those operations could be accomplished in slicer software too, if needed. I increased walls to 5 I printed tube on angle (see images). Bambu Studio only wanted to place supports under the cap. Perhaps that may work, but I've had enough failures that I decided to paint some extra supports (see image). The 3mf is included if anyone wants to use that. If aligning it yourself, make sure the notches in tube are near parallel to print plate. I made a print with them perpendicular to the plate and there was some major deformity beyond that point of the tube.
