This parametric spur gear with straight involute teeth is a precise technical gear for mechanical engineering, repairs, prototyping and functional 3D printing. The involute toothing ensures even tooth engagement and complies with the industrial standard for spur gears. The model is fully configurable: module, number of teeth, width, bore and an optional hub can be set individually. This makes the gear wheel ideal for spare parts, gears, robotics, CNC machines, 3D printers as well as DIY and maker projects. If the module of an existing gear wheel is unknown, it can be determined by measurement, e.g. via the pitch circle diameter or the tooth spacing. In this way, suitable mating gears or spare parts can be created exactly parametrically. Sufficient perimeters, good layer adhesion and technical materials such as PETG, PA or CF nylon are recommended for resilient 3D prints.
