Omolu – Multicolor FDM 3D Print Model (AMS Color Change)

Model Overview & Print Notes

*Omolu is a spiritual figure originating from Yoruba tradition*, widely present in Afro-diasporic religions such as Umbanda and Candomblé. He is traditionally associated with healing, transformation, and the cycle of life and death. Often represented covered with straw garments and beads, Omolu symbolizes protection, resilience, and the power of spiritual renewal. This 3D model was designed specifically for multicolor FDM printing using filament color swaps during the print process. **I’m also providing my Bambu Studio 3MF project files. These files already include:** - The optimal print orientation - Color assignments - The print settings used for my own print My model was **printed at 134% scale** using a Bambu Lab H2D printer. You can use these files as a starting point, or adjust the settings depending on your printer and preferences. **Importing the files into your slicer:** To ensure proper color separation, some parts must be imported together as a multi-part object. When importing these sets, select “Load as a single object with multiple parts” (Yes) so the slicer treats them as one model with multiple color bodies. **Set 1** Import the following files together: - omolu-base.stl - omolu-base-sand.stl - omolu-base-buzios.stl - omolu-legs.stl - omolu-leg-detail.stl **Set 2 and 3** Import together: - omolu-left-arm.stl - omolu-left-arm-bandana.stl - *Then repeat the same process for the right arm.* **Set 4 and 5** Import together: - omolu-left-hand.stl - omolu-left-hand-bracelet.stl - *Then repeat the same process for the right hand.* **Set 6** Import together: - omolu-crown.stl - omolu-crown-straw.stl - omolu-crown-detail.stl **Set 7** Import together: - omolu-xaxa-straw.stl - omolu-xaxa-red-detail.stl **All remaining parts should be imported separately.** After importing the files, simply assign the colors you prefer to each part and start your print :) ## 3D Printing Settings **Print settings** *The model was printed with the following settings:* -Layer height: 0.16 mm (HQ) -Wall loops: 3 -Infill: 5% Gyroid -Supports: Tree supports – On build plate only -Reduce infill retraction: Disabled These settings were used successfully on my print, but feel free to adjust them depending on your printer and materials.
