Model Overview & Print Notes
Bringing in the second rifle of today and that is none other than the Gewehr 98. This was Germany's main armament during WW1 and continued to saw service even after the war till the carbine version was created. It's one of the most famous battle rifles out there and given that there are no good 3d models to simply print I decided to make my own and share it here. Of course, it doesn't fully function like the real one but that is to make it more suitable for impressions and reenactment. NOTE: NOT A REAL FIREARM!!! Use Cura as it will size the pieces properly automatically, unlike other programs. The reason for why it does this is unknown, but Cura seems to correct the sizes upon import. As per usual, if there are any issues with the rifle, do let me know and I'll do my best to fix any issue that will arise! Till then! ## 3D Printing Settings Bed Temp: 60 Deg. Celsius Nozzle Temp: 200 Deg. Celsius Layer Height: Cura Setting "Standard Quality" or 0.2mm Speed: 60mm/s Support Density: 5% Infill: 20% (Use stronger infills depending on what you will use this for!) Note that all parts should fit on common sized printers, however smaller printers may have issues and require some cutting up in Meshmixer or other programs. I use a CR10-S5 so I had no issues with sizes so far (50cmx50cmx50cm -Big A** Printer)
