Model Overview & Print Notes

This (very) fast-printing, modular storage and display system has been specifically designed to print in ‘vase mode’ to allow for very fast printing and low filament usage. The system can be used to create your own customised, stylish, hexagonal storage/display solution both quickly and economically! The smallest version of the unit prints in as little as 45 minutes on an entry-level 3D printer, and significantly faster on a high speed printer (eg P1P / K1 etc.). Two versions are included: one optimised for use as a shelf/display system (use ‘HexShelf’ STL’s), and the other suitable for use as a desktop organiser (use ‘HexOrganiser’ STL’s). Each version has three different depth/height options, ensuring suitability for storing a large range of different items. Parts/Assembly: Shelf units - Position the individual shelf units with the flat face positioned downwards, then connect the units together from the rear using the included joiners. If using a combination of shelf depths, ensure that the deeper units are at the bottom of the system for maximum stability. Organiser units - Simply connect these together from underneath using the included joiners. PLEASE NOTE: All models have been designed to print using Vase/Spiralise mode and with a recommended line width of 0.8mm. Please check that your 3D printer/slicer supports this before purchasing the files. Using default settings will result in the models printing solid. These files are provided for PERSONAL USE ONLY. It is prohibited to share or redistribute these files or any derivatives, or to use them for commercial purposes, including selling the printed models. ## 3D Printing Settings All models have been designed to print using Vase/Spiralize mode and with a recommended line width of 0.8mm. I find that a layer height of 0.32mm gives a good balance between speed and quality. Print speed will need to be adjusted to account for the maximum flow rate of the printer. I use a wall speed of around 30-35mm/s on my Ender 3 v2. Please make sure your 3D printer is designed to work safely using whichever settings you decide to use.
