Model Overview & Print Notes

Your Phone on the Bar — Discreet, Stable, Ready to Roll. No GoPro? No problem. CaseSnap turns your smartphone into a capable trail camera — permanently attached to your phone case, always ready to snap onto the handlebar in seconds. The concept is simple: a slim adapter plate bonds permanently to your phone case (double-sided tape or super glue). The matching handlebar clamp stays on your bike. Whenever you want to record, just slide the phone in — snap, locked, rolling. No fiddling with clamps. No scratching your phone. No bulky bracket ruining your cockpit look. 🎬 See it in action: https://youtube.com/shorts/v4gVRevw4yY 🔑 Key Features & Benefits: MINIMAL & DISCREET: Slim profile — the adapter on your case is barely noticeable. No massive bracket blocking your view. SNAP-ON SYSTEM: Two-part design — adapter plate on the case + clamp on the bar. Mount and dismount in one smooth motion. STABLE ENOUGH FOR VIDEO: Secure clamp mount holds the phone firmly through vibrations — smooth footage on gravel, singletrack, and road. UNIVERSAL FIT: Works with any phone case. Fits standard 22.2mm handlebars. PERMANENT ADAPTER, FLEXIBLE USE: The case adapter stays on permanently. The bar clamp stays on your bike. Together: instant cockpit cam whenever you need it. 🔧 What You Need (Hardware not included): 1× M5×25 Hex Head Bolt 1× M5 Nut 2× M5 Washers Double-sided tape or super glue (for adapter plate on case) → Available at any hardware store for around €1–2. 🖨️ 3D Printing Recommendations: Adapter Plate (sticks to phone case): Material: ASA+ by Superfilament (UV-stable, heat-resistant). Alternative: PETG. Printer: Ender 3 Plus | Nozzle: 0.4mm | Layer Height: 0.24mm Print Temperature: 245°C | Build Plate: 80°C | Infill: 100% | Fan: 15% Supports: No | Adhesion: Brim Handlebar Clamp: Material: PP (Polypropylene) — recommended! Slightly flexible, grips the handlebar firmly without cracking. Alternative: PETG. Infill: 100% | Supports: No | Adhesion: Brim (PP requires good bed adhesion — use PP tape or glue stick) 💡 Pro-Tip: Apply double-sided tape to the adapter plate and press firmly onto your phone case for 60 seconds. For permanent bond, use a drop of super glue around the edges. Don't overtighten the handlebar bolt — hand-tight + 1/4 turn is enough. 📦 Included Files: - Adapter Plate (STL + 3MF) - Handlebar Clamp 22.2mm (STL + 3MF) Snap it. Mount it. Shoot it. Instead of clamping to the bar, this version replaces your standard 1 1/8" Aheadset top cap and puts the phone centred right above the stem. Nothing hangs off the bar, nothing blocks your controls, and the screen sits right where you look down anyway — ideal for navigation and ride tracking. Three heights, all one single printed part: FLAT CAP — lowest and cleanest. Sits almost flush, barely visible. CAP + 10 mm — lifts the phone slightly above the bar line. CAP + 20 mm — clears bar and cables completely. Best screen visibility. The riser is part of the cap, not a separate spacer. Your stem stays exactly where it is — headset stack and bar height are not affected at all. It only raises the phone. The snap interface is identical to the handlebar version, so your existing case adapter works with both. Keep the bar clamp on the gravel bike, run the cap on the trail bike, use one case for everything. Note: the phone faces up on this mount, so it is made for navigation and tracking, not for filming. For video, use the handlebar clamp. 🔩 HARDWARE (not included) The cap uses your existing M6 top cap bolt into the star nut / expander. Nothing extra needed for the flat version. ⚠️ For the 10 mm and 20 mm versions the bolt head sits higher, so your original bolt may be too short. Measure your original bolt, add the riser height, and make sure it still engages the star nut properly. 🔧 MOUNTING TIPS Grease under the bolt head. A tiny amount is enough. The bolt then pulls down cleanly instead of dragging the cap around as you tighten it — the cap stays where you aimed it, and you actually feel the preload. Carbon assembly paste on the underside of the cap, where it meets the headset. The grit is what keeps the printed part from slowly rotating on the steerer while you ride. Don't skip this one — without it the phone will creep out of alignment on rough ground. Snug is enough. The top cap bolt only sets headset preload, it does not clamp anything. Overtightening will not make it more secure, it will just strain the part and your headset bearings. Print in ASA+ or PETG, 100% infill, flat side down. Not PP, not PLA — this part sits under permanent bolt load. Snap it. Mount it. — now from the stem. ## 3D Printing Settings Adapter Plate: Material: ASA+ by Superfilament (UV-stable, heat-resistant).
